Some routers/firewalls send a TCP RST for a host which is known to be down, using the source IP of the host in question. Enabling the new "Ignore TCP Reset Packets" flag under "Global Settings/Monitoring Core/Tuning of Smart PING" prevents Smart PING from considering such a host as being up.
